| The store was opened in November 2005, but the official opening will take place on March 1, 2006. Weymouth was cited in summer 2005 as the centre for the sailing regatta during the 2012 Olympic Games.
Graham Allen, commercial director at Henri Lloyd commented: "We are thrilled to be opening our latest Henri Lloyd Sailing Store in Weymouth - it puts us at the heart of a vibrant sailing community and reinforces our brand heritage."
"We recognise that Weymouth is a very important place for Henri Lloyd to be, the 2012 Summer Games will really put the town and surrounding area at the centre of international sailing."
In conjunction with the new store opening, Henri Lloyd have also recently agreed title sponsorship of the Weymouth Town Regatta, which takes place from August 11-13, 2006 at Weymouth Marina and involves all the local sailing clubs.
The opening of the new store in Weymouth follows openings in Lymington, Falmouth and Cowes, part of a continued programme to roll out the Henri Lloyd sailing store concept and complement the city centre stores in Manchester, Birmingham and the flagship store in Carnaby St, London.
Henri-Lloyd also has stores in Helsinki, Finland, Sydney, Australia, and Krakow, Poland. |
