| The new system, which was developed in conjunction with YachtWorld brokers, automatically collects and centrally stores customer data, then matches them to boats for sale on a member broker's database. It can even store email exchanges between customer and broker to build a profile of the customer's needs.
"Virtually all of our enquiries now come through the internet, so we had been looking for a way to streamline the management of our contacts and to match them to our listings," says Sean Noble, senior brokerage manager at the UK's Premier Yacht Sales. "The presentation of our brokerage boats is powered by YachtWorld, so when BoatWizard Plus was launched, it was an easy transition to achieve exactly what we wanted. We are already seeing the benefit, speeding up the matching of clients to boats and vice versa, but importantly so are our customers who are the real beneficiaries of this improved service."
A division of the Trader Publishing Company in the US, YachtWorld.com claims to have the largest photo database of new and used power and sailboats for sale and charter on the web. The site provides around 2.5 million pages of boat information each day, with around four million visitors accessing the site each month. |
