| According to a group statement, Wickham's Cay II was chosen for its central location and amenities. Located in the heart of Road Town, the capital of the BVI, the new facility is a 20-minute taxi ride from Beef Island Airport and Sopers Hole, and less than an hour's sail to the Bight at Norman Island.
"The move to Wickham's Cay II will enable Sunsail to take the charter experience to the next level," says Peter Cook, Sunsail brand manager. "With state-of-the-art facilities and a prime location in the heart of the BVI cruising ground, I am confident that this facility will greatly enhance the sailing holiday experience."
Sunsail, which was founded in 1974, claims to be the largest yacht charter and watersports beach resort company in the world, with more than 1,000 yachts in 25 locations worldwide. The company was acquired by First Choice Holidays in 1999. |
