|  Benefiting from a winter out of the water which included a careful examination of her mast and renewal of her rigging, this legendary winner of the `Transat-Ostar´ (skippered by Phild Weld) was again ready to plunge her bows into white water.
Taking full advantage of a steady nor westerly in the gulf of Fos this Newick design demonstrated her talents for effortless performance.
On Saturday Moxie completed a 17 mile coastal run in just over an hour, bow to bow and head to head with VSD, Cat Marine (two Kelsall designs), Cheers and Raca (two other Newick designs).
Monday saw slightly calmer winds, thanks to Aeolus, and these ocean veterans went in search of former glories in a speed contest.
Moxie, close hauled under two reefed staysails recorded a 19.6 knot run !
Proof, if it were needed, that she had lost none of her former capabilities and performance.
Moxie, now moored in Port Leucate (near Perpignan), welcomes you for both day and longer trips along the Pyrenean coastline. She can also collect you from a port of your choice and take you wherever you may wish to go.
