| Volspec, which is based in Tollesbury on Britain's east coast, was named overall Dealer of the Year for 2005, making it the only company to have picked up the award a total of four times.
Volspec also received a Volvo Penta Gold Award for Outstanding Sales Performance in Industrial Engines and a Gold Award for Outstanding Sales Performance in Market Support. The accolade caps a highly successful year for the company, which recently won a £900,000 contract to build 12 prime power generators for 40-tonne rubber tyre gantry cranes in the Far East.
Other UK dealers honoured by Volvo Penta were French Marine Motors of Brighlingsea, Essex and Prior Diesel of Great Yarmouth - both of which received a Volvo Penta Award for Outstanding Sales Performance. French Marine Motors was named as the UK's leading Marine Leisure sales dealer, while Prior Diesel was the company's leading Marine Commercial Sales dealer.
Based in Skövde, Sweden, Volvo Penta builds engines and complete power systems for both marine and industrial applications, and boasts more than 5,000 dealers in over 130 countries. |
