| This progress has been driven by the success of the unprecedented selection of new models.
At the start of this new season, Bénéteau, Jeanneau, Prestige, Lagoon, CNB and Monte Carlo Yachts share the same ambition: achieving the past year's performance again, with growth outpacing the markets for FY 2010-11.
With a strong capacity for creation and innovation, they are able to draw on exceptional assets with a view to further strengthening their positions in the competitive landscape.
> SUSTAINED PLAN FOR NEW MODELS to encourage current owners to renew their boats and bring new buyers on board, with more than 20 models, including:
• The first unit from the Italian brand Monte Carlo Yachts.
This elegant 76 foot flybridge confirms the Group's arrival in the superyacht sector (powerboats over 15 m). At the International Boat and Yacht Show in Cannes, visitors will be able to discover the first motoryacht from this range, with its refined, elegant and functional lines.
• A new cruiser yacht range from Bénéteau. Created through the combined talent of BENETEAU, Nauta Design and Berret/Racoupeau, SENSE boasts an innovative design facilitating communication between the cockpit and the saloon and enabling easier access to the sea.
• Developed by Jeanneau with Garroni and Premorel Concept, NC 11 offers an original space design for a new approach to life on board.
• Lagoon has further strengthened its selection with the Lagoon 450 and 560, and now offers a full range of seven catamaran cruisers from 38 to 62 feet.
• Prestige 2, a new generation design, with its very bright interior, wide open to the sea, offering a harmonious blend of contemporary colors and materials.
• At the start of this season, the CNB 100 Chrisco has been a finalist in the International Superyacht Society Design & Leadership awards in the category for 24 to 40 meter yachts, as well as in five categories for the 2010 ShowBoats Design Awards.
MAJOR INNOVATION, EXCLUSIVE IN THE SAILING WORLD
The Bénéteau Group is accelerating its research and development efforts, enabling the various brands to access the best technological level. This strategy has made it possible to develop an exclusive assistance system for in-port maneuvering. This innovation is gradually being rolled out across large yachts, further strengthening their appeal.
Developed in partnership with the German group ZF, this system now offers pleasure cruisers faultless handling for their yachts. Combining assistance from the engine and bow propulsion unit, it is equipped with an intuitive and user-friendly joystick which makes docking easier under all conditions, removing an obstacle that was holding customers back from buying large units.
The Group is developing its operations in the housing sector
The European market leader for leisure homes with the O’Hara and IRM brands, the Bénéteau Group is moving ahead with its development in the residential housing sector in line with the schedule announced.
Drawing on its proven experience in laying out and optimizing space, the Group's ambition is to become the leading builder on the promising market for high environmental performance wooden-frame housing.
The first housing programs were set up this spring in Les Herbiers (Vendée), then La Teste de Buch (Gironde). Deliveries are continuing at a sustained rate, with the first student residence designed by BH brought into service in September in Angers and the keys handed over for many other programs throughout the season.
Accessible housing in line with sustainable development standards
All of these developments are delivering environmental performance levels that are higher than required under current regulations, thanks in particular to an innovative and effective construction process, stronger thermal insulation and a high-quality ventilation system. |
